There is a talk at the NIHR BioResource Centre Cambridge at the Babraham Research Campus on Wednesday the 19th of June at 10am. The talk will describe how the BioResource is being used to support research into a range of diseases, as well as highlighting the need for local volunteers to participate in such studies, which might be a topic that could be of interest to many in Babraham. The presentations will be supported with refreshments along with an opportunity to talk with the BioResource team, and anyone interested in getting involved will have the option to donate a blood or saliva sample, avoiding the need to travel to Addenbrookes.
Cheveley Park Farms has asked us to pass on their apologies for any inconvenience as they will be spreading chicken muck on some of the fields around the village. This will be smelly but will be ploughed in as soon as possible.

Please be informed that from March 20th the school will have contractors in extending the toilets in reception / Year 1 and extending the lobby to make it more secure. This may cause some congestion in the mornings through the village but the building is small scale and should not cause too many problems.

Friends of Babraham School’s main event this term will be Bonfire and Fireworks night on Saturday November the 8th 2014. Gates open at 5:30 with Fireworks at 6pm. Tickets are available from Lorraine Penney at 17 Oak Lane (tel. 665 368) or from the school office.
