Annual Parish Meeting – Thursday 9th May

The Annual Parish Meeting was held on Thursday 9th May at Babraham CofE school. The Parish Council are very grateful to everyone who contributed and attended.

    • – A question was asked about the areas included in mowing. Cllr Laurie confirmed the grass between Oak Lane and the A1307 was not the PC’s responsibility.
    • – A question was asked about the money set aside for playground costs. Cllr Laurie said he would contact the farm to see if land might be made available.

Annual Parish Meeting – Thursday 9th May – Preview and Agenda

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held this Thursday 9th May, 2019, at 19.30 in Babraham CofE School Hall.

At the meeting, the Parish Council will explain what we have done during the last year, discuss Council finances, and look forward to projects for 2019-20.

Importantly, it enables our electors to have their say on anything they consider important to the people of Babraham Parish. The meeting is open to anyone and we look forward to welcoming you. Only registered electors of Babraham Parish may speak and vote.

We also welcome reports for groups and communities within the Parish. The meeting is an opportunity to learn more about what’s happening around Babraham, as well as to meet other residents.

Huawei Development – Old Spicers Site

The old Spicers site in Sawston has been purchased by Huawei, who are planning on building a research and development site, creating 350 jobs in the first phase. They are currently consulting with local councils, and are planning a public exhibition in Sawston, at the Walnut Gallery, Sawston Village College, on Friday 26th April 4pm-8pm and Saturday 27th April at 10am-2pm. Farm Update

Cheveley Park Farms has asked us to pass on their apologies for any inconvenience as they will be spreading chicken muck on some of the fields around the village. This will be smelly but will be ploughed in as soon as possible.
